The shiny floor of the gallery reflects both the viewer and a large 250kg cast salt hemisphere which creates a reflection that simultaneously floats over and submerges into the floor. The work (the object and the reflective floor) is dependent on the ambient light and the position of the viewer in the room. An interaction of salt and air causes the surface of the salt to slowly crystalize and grow.
